Here we are, finally, we arrived in Punta Arenas. Our hotel is a small hostal in the city center. The receptionist is kind he helped us to take our luggage upstairs … The scales and the floors make us feel like we already are in a boat because nothing is levelled.

This is a singular city, almost 150000 inhabitants and a lot of errant dogs (that are pretty good looking). We went for a walk to eat something hot at first.
We decided to blend in and go eat to the ‘Mercado municipal’ which as not much to do with a market as we could think. There are some fish shop but most of the building is full of small restaurants. We had Ceviche (“cold soup of craw fish with lemon and tomato”) than we ate “Paila Marina” a soup of hot fish and a seafood and a lot of mussels! We drank the beer of the corner: Austral Calafate. Cheers ! 😊
