Glaciar Martial

On our last day, just the morning before leaving Ushuaïa and coming back to Bruxelles. We decided to go up the glacier of Ushuaïa : Glaciar Martial. The Martial Glacier lies 1050 meters above sea level and it is the most important source of fresh water in Ushuaia. It has been named after explorer Luis Fernando Martial, chief of the French expedition that reached the area with scientific purposes in 1883.






We were so luscky that the sky was blue and that some snow was already there...
