Today it is our last day in Chile (17th February 2018), tonight we are going to take the boat to Antarctica! I am so excited. So, our day start with us going to the harbour in order to put our luggage in the boat. Here is a picture of the cabin where I should spend few nights/days:
But now we have 6 hours to spend in Punta Arenas. As usual, we start our visit of the city by a good meal! Today (for the third time of our stay) we are going to café Tapiz (really close to the ‘Mercado Municipal’ and the harbour). We took a huge sandwich with lamb, avocado, salad and pepper (here a picture).
I didn’t manage to eat it all!
Afterwards, we had to digest by walking in Punta Arenas, we arrived to the top of it at the place of Cerro del la Cruz (la colline de la croix) and had a view of all the city center. Then, downtown we found a shop that was kind of scary with a lot of wool and skins of death animals ☹
Totally by chance, we met Chantal and her husband in the middle of the Supermercado! It was so unexpected to meet them at the end of the world! It was nice and we shared our last coffee before taking the boat.
