B.A.E. Gabriel de Castilla

Hello! It is already 10 days that we arrived at the Spanish Antarctic station Gabriel de Castilla and I was thinking that maybe you would like to see how is the base and our "home". From the sky it is like this:




From the outside, it is arranged in different containers: there is the main one : "Modulo de vida" where we have our dormitories, the bathroom, the kitchen, the living room (with a huge television, lots of board games, music, library, sofas and a "Futbolin"). There, there is also the main communication devices (radio etc.).



Then the others containers are: infirmery (Botiquin), Scientific lab, wet lab, gymnasium, food store, recycling point, igloos (other dormitory), diving room, emergency room, storage room and the Viking room (No, it is not a place with Scandinavian pirates ... Vikings are suit we have to wear when we go outside).
